Mia Turns One

Jill and Jay's sweet little Mia turned one on Oct. 10!
It seems like yesterday that I was at the hospital watching her make her entry to this world and now she is toddling around and taking care of her own babies! I got to spend the weekend with her and help her mommy make her first "girly" room. She has pink walls and sweet pictures and even a mirror and dress-up hooks. Jill and I had as much fun as Mia Mouse!

Boys Will Be Boys

Generations of Boys being Boys and Men being Boys too!

A New Grandson

Tanner Bendrew Rhoton joined our family on 8/27/2008. Shane and Shannon are the proud first time parents. Little Tanner brought his mom and dad down from Alaska so they could be with him while he got his little feet worked on. Grammie and Papa have got to love on him and all the cousins have broke him in to the rhoton riots! Tanner even spent time on the mountain this fall listening to the elk bugle. He's our Tan the Man!

Four Babies and a Lung

This is my brother Steve last June at our family reunion. He was on oxygen and considering a lung transplant. Last Sunday, he received the gift of a donor lung at Stanford University Medical Center. We are so grateful!! A few weeks before he received it he told me that he and Mareen were expecting four grandbabies in the next months. . . he laughingly said, "four babies and a lung!" The lung and one of the babies have arrived!! Congratulations.
